D: Oh,my head hurts so much!
A: What's wrong,dude?
D: I drank too much last night.
A: So you have a hangover?
D: Super bad hangover. I'm never drinking again.
A: You know,Jessica is having a party tonight.
D: I'll be there!
Yeah, this is a very common expression. If you go out and you drink, but maybe you drink a lit tle bit too much, the next day you'll have a hangover. Now this is a noun. You can also say:I'm hungover. This is a adj-ective(形容词).
It basically means maybe you have a headache, your stomach hurts, and you just feel really uncomfortable. This is called a hangover.
OK,so it's time for today's bonus. And the bonus is really quite simple. We said in the conversation,“Jessica is having a party.”You can also say,“Jessica is throwing a party.” You can also say,“Jessica is hosting a party.”
So hosting, throwing, and having a party all mean the same thing.
今天我们学了三个“开party”的用法:第一个是“have a party”,第二个是“throw a party”,第三个是“host a party”。
—Alex,do you wanna come to a party tonight?
—I'm too tired.
—Eh,there's gonna be some hot girls there.
—I'll be there.
—Bye-bye!
—Bye!
