6　Period of Storage

6.1　General Requirements

6.1.1　The period of storage shall be determined according to the scale of production，transportation means，transportation distance，geological location of the warehouse area，meteorological conditions and market conditions，and meet the following requirements:

1　When the scale of production is large，the period of storage may be shortened，vice versa.

2　When the transportation distance is long，the period of storage may be extended，vice versa.

3　When railroad transportation is adopted，the period of storage may be shortened.

4　When water transportation，combined water and land transportation and especially combined sea and river transportation are adopted，the period of storage may be extended.

5　When road transportation is mainly adopted and in short distance，the period of storage may be shorter than that of other transportation means.

6　For cold areas with long frost period or rainy areas having an adverse impact on transportation and loading/unloading operations，the period of storage may be extended.

7　If direct supply of raw material at fixed location can be ensured，the period of storage may be shortened，vice versa.

8　For materials requiring special treatment，the period of storage may be extended accordingly.

9　The period of storage for materials with special market source shall be determined according to actual needs.

6.1.2　The period and quantity of storage for flammable and explosive materials shall be consistent with the requirements specified in the current national standard GB 15603 Rule for Storage of Chemical dangers.
